What is SST Training and why is it important?

SST is tailored for community members, staff, and organizations — anyone who might support survivors of abuse. The training focuses on understanding trauma, responding safely to disclosures, and offering support that validates survivors’ experiences. By learning compassionate listening, appropriate response practices, and referral pathways, participants become informed, sensitive, and reliable allies. The goal is to ensure that when someone reaches out, they are met with dignity, understanding, and access to helpful resources.
