About Us

Who We Are

We are a team that offers steady, compassionate support to people in crisis. Like an anchor, we provide safety, stability, and a place to hold on during difficult times. Like a thread, we create connection, care, and community by bringing people and services together.

We support anyone impacted by gender-based violence, and we walk with them through healing and wellness. We also work closely with rural and Indigenous communities to strengthen relationships and expand access to help. We are here to support, empower, and care for those who need us most.

Our Purpose

Anchor & Thread Community Services exists to support people affected by all forms of gender-based violence. We help individuals, youth, and families with trauma support, mental-health care, and wraparound services that guide them toward safety and healing. Our purpose is to build strong connections between people, programs, and communities so everyone feels supported. We also reach rural and Indigenous communities through trusted partnerships and caring outreach. Our goal is to help create safer, healthier, and more connected communities for all.
